Item #301: ICD-10-CM Challenges in the Home Health Setting

CMS indicates that providers have successfully transitioned to ICD-10-CM during the last quarter of 2015, with minimal adverse reimbursement impact, but many home care providers are struggling with a lower case mix the last quarter of 2015. And with the 2016 PPS Updates initiated January 1, 2016, providers identify a double whammy on case mix with re-basing and the subtle adverse impact of ICD-10-CM on Home Health Claims.

This program will address ICD-10-CM clarifications and practices that may adversely impact agency case mix and reimbursement. Ensure your agency understands the ins and outs of the 2016 Home Health PPS and ICD-10-CM Updates that most impact agency reimbursement and quality outcomes.

Program Objectives:

1. Identify ICD-10-CM impact on agency case mix last quarter of 2015;
